Stainless 440C

Stainless 440C It is a kind of high-carbon steel, an alloy that is often used to make knives. They can be heat treated for high strength and hardness. 440C stainless steel is more resistant to abrasion and corrosion for use with bearings and bushings. Resistant to corrosion only in the hardened condition.

Applications:

  • ball bearings and competition

  • nozzle

  • Knives and measuring tools

  • surgical instruments

  • valve

Grade 440C  It is a carbon martensitic stainless steel with moderate corrosion resistance, good strength and the ability to bear and hold excellent hardness (Rc 60) and wear resistance. It has a slight cooling effect, can be used by general practice and responds to heat treatment.
