Stainless 436
Stainless Steel 436 UNS S43600
436 Stainless Steel is an modification of Type 434 with the addition of columbium and molybdenum to reduce the tendency of roping or ridging during forming. 436 SS improves corrosion resistance and weldability. This ferritic steel is a magnet with reasonable abrasion resistance.
details
Type 436 is a variation of Type 434 in which Columbium was added to reduce "roping" or "ridging" during the stretch forming process.
