Stainless steel 303 is an austenitic stainless steel containing approximately 18% chromium and approximately 8% nickel. 303 stainless is specially designed to be developed in forming applications. At the same time, it still has good mechanical properties, good corrosion resistance properties.

Corrosion resistant 303 stainless steel

Resistant to mildly corrosive environments but significantly less than Grade 304 due to the addition of sulfur. Sulfide inclusions are the starting site of the well. Grade 303 should not be exposed to water or other similar environments as these will result in rapid corrosion.
