Stainless 303
Stainless steel 303 is an austenitic stainless steel containing approximately 18% chromium and approximately 8% nickel. 303 stainless is specially designed to be developed in forming applications. At the same time, it still has good mechanical properties, good corrosion resistance properties.
feature
Corrosion resistant 303 stainless steel
Resistant to mildly corrosive environments but significantly less than Grade 304 due to the addition of sulfur. Sulfide inclusions are the starting site of the well. Grade 303 should not be exposed to water or other similar environments as these will result in rapid corrosion.
303 Stainless Steel Heat Treatment
Solution cure (annealing) - heats 1010-1120°C and cools quickly. This grade is not hard. by heat treatment
welding stainless steel 303
Generally not recommended, but if unavoidable and has low strength, can withstand Use electrode grade 308 L or 309 as 1554.6 cannot weld 303. Welds must be annealed for maximum corrosion resistance.
Applications of stainless steel 303
Typical applications include bolts. bushing shaft aircraft equipment
Components of electrical switchgear
